I personally don't agree with those saying it's boring, if you like interactive stories it's a decent game. The characters are pretty unlikeable but that's one of the few negatives I can think of.

I have quite bad insomnia. Thankfully, 30 minutes of The Snoozing of Frank Stone and I'm out like a light. Far healthier than any sleeping tablet, would highly recommend

Easily Supermassive's best game since Until Dawn. The story started out very explosively with an incredible prologue, and went on to play with the ideas of time travel and alternate dimensions quite well, using them creatively but not going so overboard with them that the narrative becomes a convoluted mess.

The characters are also the most engaging SG has given us since 2015. Linda Castle especially may be my favorite character across all Supermassive games, and I'm very happy to be able to say this after seven different interactive story games. I hope to see some of these folks in Dead By Daylight someday, something I was skeptical of before playing the game but can now safely say would be a treat.

Some things could obviously be better, such as Augustine Lieber's involvement and motive, because it's pretty much completely spelled out in the literal first minutes of the game. Or the fact that unlike most games before itself, you can't save everyone in this one, and at least two characters are fated to die in this one; which isn't a problem in itself but it is somewhat misleading. But even then, this is an extremely solid experience with some of the most numerous branching paths I've seen.

And lastly, no, this game doesn't hinge itself on DBD to exist like some people desperately claim. Many people have played this game with little to no knowledge of DBD and their enjoyment wasn't diminished whatsoever. 99% of the references some players claim ruin the game are completely harmless, like having to repair a generator or find a few Killer doll figures. If these references annoy you even though they are just tiny callbacks to a game that you presumably bought and play extensively, then maybe it's time to grow up a little.

After beating this game, it just didn't seem all that great. I loved the kills and the killer, however everything else either was dumb, meaningless, or just down right confusing. Plus didn't feel like I had any freedom in the game, like when choosing what to say, still results in them just saying the other option too sometimes. Also there was an update, however it didn't fix ♥♥♥♥. Screen tears like crazy when entering a new scene almost every time. So overall I give this game a 6/10 and for those who enjoy the game good for you homie.

This game has a multitude of issues. I like the idea of a Dark Pictures like story game, but they have failed on multiple avenues of the game. To start off with, they learned nothing from releasing DBD with no survive with friends. This is a $40-$50 game you can ONLY play in local co-op, and doesn't even offer remote play together to compensate for the lack of online play. I was able to play with friends by downloading "Remote play whatever" but it came with it's own issues and was a unnecessary work around for lack of features from the devs. People want to play the game with their friends.. let them. They lost SO much money they could have gotten from just including online play and made it much harder for their users.

On top of the lack of online play, the game itself is VERY buggy. The movement does not feel smooth, the animations are clunky, and the graphics were not well optimized making it hard to play at some points.

The game itself relies HEAVILY on the players having played DBD, if you're just a normal player launching this game you will not understand half the references and "easter eggs" in the game. This is just a love letter to the DBD playerbase to be like "Ooh! Trapper mask! Cow tree!" to get it's ooh's and ahh's instead of relying on actual good story writing.

I only got to play through probably half the game before they updated and wiped my entire save file. Unbelievable. With how many issues I had trying to get the game to work for it to wipe and still more than a week or two later there is still no fix is insane. I don't want to have to replay the entire game after spending $50 for a game that should work. I have lost any faith that BHVR can make a functioning game outside of DBD at this point. After this failure they just announced they closed projection on their other upcoming game, and after this experience I think it may have been the right call.

The bare minimum is that the game functions well, and that we keep our saves and progress, and they couldn't even achieve that. Very very disappointing. I really wish I never wasted $50 on this.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the in game dbd rewards never worked for me either. A measly 2 million bloodpoints for a $50 game and they STILL haven't figured out how to deliver them to the buyers. It's embarrassing.

This game had a phenomenal trailer, and obviously it being story-based it makes you want to personally get into it for yourself. The visuals are phenomenal, there are a lot of cheeky nice/cute little homages to DbD

And that's it! Those are the only good things about this game. The story does the whole multiple timelines thing so all your choices not actually mattering or huge plotholes are saved by the fact something that would conflict with another thing in the mainline story simply happened in a different timeline, it's stupid, plus the characters minus Sam are just completely unlikable. Why did Frank Stone appear in like 5 different settings and outfits in the trailer when he only appears twice in two different settings (more if you count his stupid fatal frame rip-off phantom) with 2 outfits only? Plus as stated the choices you make are very non-impactful and change basically nothing except for a few cutscenes, otherwise there are NO consequences, NO real choices, even the endings with different characters have those characters say the SAME EXACT THINGS. There is no excuse for this being as bad, dull, and empty as it is, so I'm confident in not recommending this game to anybody even for achievement hunting (it's such a drag, don't even bother).

This is NOT a standalone game; it's for Dead by Daylight fans. The Fog, The Entity—it's all part of the DBD universe, so don't buy it if you know nothing about the game. From my perspective, it's a great game. I loved the story, the concept of time travel, the cursed tapes, the multiple endings, and especially the Easter eggs—I couldn't help but smile every time I saw a killer plushie. I admit it could've been a little longer, and some dialogues were cringe, but overall I enjoyed the ride.

Huge excitement for this game for me and my partner but ultimately it was 6 hours of boredom. From what the developers of Supermassive games have created in the past and this also incorporating Dead By Daylight a game we both adore, I was not expecting to sit there wanting it to end. Little interactions in every level, not much to do in terms of gameplay and your choices felt like they did not matter. The game only started to get interesting 20 minutes before it finished. The performance on it was also extremely poor as others have also mentioned in other posts. Definitely not worth the price they are asking for and if it was not for the skins that you received upon pre order for Dead by Daylight I wouldn't be buying this.

Really enjoyed this as I have all the super massive games, as someone who hasn't played DBD I do feel like I'm missing some of the references, but was still really enjoyable regardless
