Hi all,

This is quite a significant update, for all sessions are now 20 instead of 30 minutes. Exp requirements were lowered and material (including marble) drop rates were increased to compensate for the shorter session.

• Map modes are now 20 minutes and "rush" is 15 minutes.
  
• The exp requirement for levelling is now 20% less. Since missions have always been 20 minutes, this means that players can now reach higher levels in missions.
  
• Material and marble drop rate increased by 33%
  
• Gold heaps, bags and bars increased by roughly 50%
  
• Nokk's greataxe does 30% more damage when maxed.
  
• Boomerangs, familiar and water sprites have new movement curves that let them move faster but turn back slower. This results in more enemies hit at the aimed target.
  
• Critical hits now have a small chance to do 3x (instead of 2x) damage. When a critical hit takes place, a check is made by using half of the critical hit chance. If this succeeds, a "lethal hit" occurs instead.
  
• Small fixes were done to the map walls in Vermin Cave and Beyond the Portal.
  
• A tip was added about the player's movement speed affecting followers and pets.
  
• Summons now face in the same direction as the player when they appear.
  
• A red "paintbrush stroke" will appear behind upgrades when they are maxed in the upgrades book.
  
• When you use the "clear loadout" button, you have to confirm that this is your intention.

We hope you enjoy the faster runs. Maybe that leaves time to kill the guardians more often.

Hi all,

This update adds the soulfire status effect for the revenant's weapon, a secondary weapon for Cain and a bunch of other things.

• Added soulfire status effect to the greatsword. It can be boosted with a red aura, bestiary bonus, the revenant's primary stat and the upgrades book.
  
• The survivor level 3 upgrades now include soulfire damage.
  
• The revenant's primary stat was changed from revives to soulfire damage.
  
• Cain has a secondary weapon at last. It opens a wormhole that lets through a tentacle that attacks nearby enemies. If you use it with Cain, you'll get the limit break damage bonus (since it's his secondary weapon).
  
• A "break 10" tick box was added to the crystalizer screen so players can break 10 marbles at a time.
  
• Stargazer has two status effects, but you only saw knockback's description when you clicked on any of the two. This was fixed.
  
• The character selection screen will now remember the loadout, bestiary bonus and potion tick when you open the tavern, auras, workshop or stables screens.
  
• Sometimes when a mission was activated in the workshop, the map selection screen showed map icons overwriting each other. This was fixed.
  
• Outlines were added to the focused icon on some screens, e.g. workshop, tavern and stables.
  
• Think Tank's menu at the 3d printer now shows "craft adventurer" instead of "hire adventurer".
  
• "max dmg" on the player's portrait has been changed to "max avg" since it's the maximum value reached by the average damage (dps). The damage also doesn't wrap at 100k anymore.
  
• Added a tip that explains critical damage.

Hi all,

When you have Griffo in the Workshop, he will offer to hunt for materials on the first 5 maps. To receive the materials he has to be fully rested.

• Players can now choose 1 of 5 pastel colour schemes for their summons. This changes the colour of the summoned skeletons, skeleton archers, vipers and fire serpents. The setting is in Options => Game.
  
• Improved the dynamite by making the projectile travel a little slower and further (it has to collide with an enemy to explode).
  
• If you unlock equipment from chests or by playing with them, they remained unlocked even if you used Esc to exit. Unfortunately the achievement was not gained, forcing you to play again with the same character (without using Esc).
  Achievements for unlocking weapons and for completing maps are now checked, even if you use Esc.

Hi all,

We decided that marbles should drop more often on lower exp levels. So instead of scaling with the player's level in-game, the marble drop rate is now 0.001 % per kill. It's still affected by the map's marble drop bonus, the game's difficulty setting and the character's drop rate bonuses.

• Marbles should now drop at roughly 1 per 1000 kills. Drop rate bonuses will affect the final outcome.
  
• When a player holding a lockpicks artifact (or owning the lockpicks aura) unlocks an exit, a message is sent to all players to inform them that the exit is now open.
  
• When searching the Chat Log, it's now possible to use "you found a" to list the materials you found. The bug was related to XML tags being used in the log entries.

I will adjust the marble hunter's guide in the Steam Community to reflect the change.

Hi all,

This update contains the following changes:

• Touch damage range for the mini bosses is reduced to be similar to the normal enemies. This includes the guardians and the grim reaper. So they have to be closer to be able to hit you. This change does not apply to ranged attacks.
  
• Two new achievements were added to help survivor level 1 players reach level 2 quicker.
  
• The "sell 10" button in the Stash made a louder sound than the "sell 1" button and this was fixed.

Hi all,

The fix are for the achievements Vandal, Exterminator, Materialist and Marble Madness.

Before profiles were introduced, Steam checked your progress for certain achievements (e.g. Vandal) and automatically awarded the achievement. Since achievements are now earned per profile, a manual check has to be made to determine if a profile has earned them.

Please play a map and exit or die for the achievements to be processed and updated.

Hi all,

This update contains the following changes:

• The host selects both the minimum AND maximum survivor level requirement of joining players. This option was added so that you can host a game with a new profile and prevent players with a high survivor level from carrying you.
  
• The Profiles update did not migrate some achievements correctly to your first profile. The affected achievements have progress (e.g. Vandal), so progress would be 0 while the value on Steam was much higher. This has been fixed.

Hi all,

This update introduces profiles, which allow you to start a fresh profile (survivor level 1) while preserving you progress on your main profile.

When you open the game, your achievements and progress will be migrated to "Profile 1". There are 4 other profiles you can select, each starting at survivor level 1 with 0 achievements.
Note that profiles 2 to 5 will have the default game Options, which you can set according to your preference.
To help you keep track of the profile you are currently using, it's name is displayed on the main menu. You can also change it's name.

If any of the profiles unlock an Achievement, Steam will activate it for the account. The achievement won't be automatically given to all the other profiles. So it will still appear as not unlocked in those profiles.

Note that the "Reset Progress" option has been temporarily disabled. I will rework it's functionality and include the change in the next update.

Here as some of the possible uses for profiles:

• Letting family members use different profiles to keep progress separate.
  
• Starting again with friends who just bought the game.
  
• Using a low level profile to play with other new players.
  
• Starting a "let's play" video series, showing progress through the entire game, without losing you main profile's progress.

I will be starting a low level profile so I hope to see you in the game.

Hi all,

The Overgrowth Wand (Titania's secondary weapon) seemed a little weak so after extensive testing in a summons/follower build we are now happier with the tweaked values.
I also increased player invulnerability with 33% (from 3 to 4 seconds) when spawning in the game.
