Easy to learn, fiendishly difficult to master, brutal on the joints in your fingers if you play for long enough with a controller, this is '90s sim/arcade hybrid racing right out of a PS1 game or the old Virtua Racing family of arcade machines. But it doesn't coast on nostalgia, even if you're way too young to remember the '90s there's a lot to love even in the present day. A change of pace from the full-sim F1 or Assetto Corsa experience or a "daily driver" in its own right, there is a LOT to love here. One of the best games I've played in 2024.

Retro graphics that look good and work extremely well at high frame rates, and fast paced racing with an addictive career makes this one an instant classic. The game has character and atmosphere that is lacking in many higher budget and higher fidelity racing games, and the player is presented with good racing action with meaningful strategic choices despite the short length of the races. Good stuff!
