cloud saves?
Does this game use cloud saving or any way of porting saves from PC to steamdeck?

Your profile is synced through Steam Cloud, but current game runs are not. I believe I originally set it up this way so there is no risk of Steam overwriting current saves. I could at some point consider if it's worth the risk. Meanwhile, you could probably do this manually by copy-pasting Data.es3 file within folder C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\LocalLow\Redbeak Games\MortalGlory2. For Steam deck I am not sure though where exactly this folder is located as it's different (based on quick google search it could be something like this: "/home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata"). But it should be within the folder where most games save their save files.

Thank you ! I found where I needed to put the files (It's under the path you have in your message) but I was using Profile.es3. I agree that if there was a risk of losing current saves that was a good decision.

Personally I dont use my Steamdeck and I dont know if I would use it but this game made me dust it off and charge it to try :D

Are the save files editable if opened in notepad. I tried and I got all symbols :(

Hmmm. This explains why my current run on the Steam Deck is not showing up on Desktop. It would be nice if they moved cleaning between. The runs can go kinda long for a single sitting and I got this with the idea that I would be able to SD while on the go, but maybe play longer sessions on PC. If all the Cloud Sync is doing is matching between runs, I fear I may have to stick to just the Deck as the portable element on this kind of game seems more important. However, I expect that will limit my total hours in the game as the flexibility I thought would be there is not there. And that is a bummer.

Bouncing between PC and SD on indy or bit sized session games (like 3 fights and a shop then pause) is why I check out these kind of games. It is not worth moving a save file when I just want to put my SD into by bag to keep a game going on my lunch break or when traveling. I don't know how much I am in the minority on that though.

yes please add back cloud sync, as there are already many games having the same setting.

I dont think it will cause huge problem and steam will ask us if the save file is not sync as well

so i think the convenience outweigh the concern
