You dont have to click down and hold it, just click it once when you need to sprint. this game just feels a lot smoother on a controller imo.
LOL I am a PC player using Keyboard n mouse since 2000. I am not ashame to admit that I am absolutely useless with a controller. I am so used to the mouse, I just cannot adjust to using those two little thumb sticks. Yes, I had tried to use a controller when I purposely bought a PS3 when Last of Us Remastered came out quite a few years back. Although I finished the story in normal difficulty, when I tried to go for the platinum achievement, I found that I just couldn't shoot properly using the controller. In the end, I had to give up. Then when Last of Us 2 came out, I bought it and this time, I couldn't even finish the 1st snowball fight as I am totally useless. It is not a matter of "gitgud". Sometimes it is better to admit being useless at certain thing then spending months to learn, especially when I am over 60. Please note that I am in no way saying that controller is bad. You see, I finished two Yakuza games using Keyboard and mouse. And in Ghost of Tsushima, It took me a while to get used to the key mapping during combat (it didn't take me months though, about a couple of weeks). Ok, I may not be able to do those fantastic move sequences as seen on some Youtube videos. I managed to playthough a couple of times in Lethal mode. And I have just finished the story in Lethal mode from scratch, i.e. having to find all the charms and armours and upgrades etc.. from zero. Men (and ladies), I have to tell you, playing G.O.T. in Lethal difficulty from scratch is the best way to play this game. And if you want to do it as well, make sure NOT to rush in any fight, think about it first. I was so surprised that it took me less than 4 minutes to kill Khan when it took me a good 30 tries to win the very first duel. I now have the DLC to complete. So, as I said, there is nothing wrong playing this game with Keyboard n mouse. It may not be as spectacular as players using controller but it is still such an enjoyable experience. Good luck and have fun :)
Rdr2 was my first third person game ever played with a controller , and pressing a trigger in order to shoot, felt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ greattt (but no offense to controller players, i've never seen any game in my life as well made on controlls as rdr2 even for a beginner like me was so confortable to use every action, camera followup was rly well made and the game was easy to play (mechanically i mean)
some games are rly horible to play with a controller, i tried cyberpunk since then, helldivers once, and some few others and HOW THE HECK DO YOU DO IT? :)) (GHOST OF TUSHIMA is good, not as good as rdr2 but fine for me with the controller)
But a pc gamer what i hate the most about controller game is that many games from different companies have different controll presets and you cannot customise them as easy as you do on pc, like x for shoot, trigger for whatever , etc
you didn't get the joke.....
I don't play controller either and I hate aiming anything with a controller it so bad but when it comes to fighting games like this or dark souls series I'll pick up a controller and get use to it again takes me a little bit to get my muscle memory back lol.
Meeeeeeeennn im so dumb :)))
In a game that was developed to be PS4 controller only?
I used to hate this in games. The main source of joystick drift comes from having to use a joystick button a lot in games because when you push down on it is causes the wiper on the vertical potentiometer to dig into the resistive material which in this case is a thin layer on a thin piece of plastic. The best way around that is to buy a controller with at least 2 buttons on the underside and map them to the joystick buttons. It also makes things like running a whole lot easier than try to both maneuver the joystick and press down on the button at the same time.
