Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT

Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT

Pretty disappointing port of the game.
I've been waiting for the game to come to pc for years, I've even held of for months to give them time to iron out any day one quirks. In 2 hrs of playtime the game crashed 8 times. No recognizable pattern. No lag no stutter it just closes. Drivers are up to date and I even rolled them back. I have now refunded the game. How are all the reviews so positive?
My system is a 7800x3D with rtx4090. I tried the community fix of someone in the forum (deleting a folder). But it still crashes and most crashes happened while nothing was going on. Does anyone have a similar issues? Or is there another fix? If not I am just gonna refund because I am not gonna play a game that crashes every 10-20 minutes.

That's why you should never buy Nvidia :steamhappy:

Jk, just a poke at the Nvidia fanboys who blame everything on AMD. You could try to rollback to a previous version of the game I guess? Or play around with graphics settings a bit. It's been running fine for me after the first patch, before that it crashed a lot. I'm not on the latest version because ppl have been reporting issues with that. Not crashes though, I think, more like graphical glitches. Ryzen7-2700 / RX6600XT.

I5-7600k with RTX2070 here. Game runs great for me. I understand the frustration, but most players are not having these issues. Why would people give bad reviews if they are not having a bad experience? My experience has been that this is one of the best games I have played. It's simply fantastic and I'd recommend it to anyone if they are at all interested in this genre of game. Maybe give it some time and try the game again down the road or look more into your system and see if something could be causing the crashes.

I appreciate your contribution, it's not even that the game was running badly. The game ran absolutely smoothly. I had no hiccups, no stutter nothing of that sort the only issue that I have encountered is the game outright crashing there is no pattern to it either. I really would love to be playing the game I had a great time but being sent to the desktop every 20 minutes is immersion breaking.
I haven't seen this in my play through, it's been rock solid stable. Maybe there's a memory issue on your system? I've seen something like that with other games on my laptop where the memory would periodically cause a problem even though it showed up in Windows ok.

My system I'm playing Ghost on: i9 12900k, 64 GB RAM, RTX 3070, NVME.

Played pretty much 10 hours straight 5 of the past 7 days. Zero crashes. RTX 3060 and Ryzen 7 3700x. 100% your system. Its a Nixxes port. Nixxes ports are well known for being extremely good and this one is no different. It runs like a dream.

I just assumed i wasted my money on this port, can't even watch the cutscenes because they run at 5-10 fps with everything on low
This game ran flawless on my old machine until one update. I figured out that Frame Generation in options once you launch it in the launcher was the problem and turned that off. It seemed to fix my fps and crashing issues completely. Hope that helps. Also, if someone already said that, my bad, I didn't read too far in the comments. :piglaugh:

Probably frame generation or some overlay youre using.
14600k + 4090 Suprim. Runs perfect now that the dueling bug from high frame rates is fixed, so it's not an issue with the 4090 series as a whole

13600k 4070 ti here, never had a game crash in 40h...but I understand that the game has a lot of problems. What I had encountered was a non-smooth movement of the camera with the controller, which did not happen with the mouse and keyboard
personally the game dont crash, but sometime i run at 60/70 fps and sometime it go to 15/20 fps instantly
and no i dont use frame generation

Runs flawlessly for me. Anything in the Event Log?
pc/user issue
7800x3d/rtx 4080 and no crashes in >37 hours of playtime.
Disable frame generation and nvidia reflex, and HAGS in win11.

Thank you all for your input, I will try out a few suggestions that I have not tried yet. I am pretty sure I never even turned frame generation on because I was running native resolution.
