Save files are created different on a console than on a pc.
And seeing a lot of ps4/ps5 players who also get the game again on PC it wouldn't make any sense having their save since i've seen a lot who want to platinum the game again.
So we all have to start fresh, it's gonna be a grind but at the same time why not ^_^

That's just the trophies since you are literally using the same account so those trophies are already on your profile since it is the same game.
As for cross-save nothing have been confirmed anywhere as far i know, but i doubt the save will be cross-platform only the trophies.

We will see, I asked a Staff member on play station website, using the online chat, and they stated it will be cross save, but i'm still un sure as I thought they would of mentioned it in the discussion. Either way, we will see in 2 days.

Could you update me if it pops trophies separately? It seems that once you link accounts the trophies will automatically pop for you as it looks like it shares the same list as the PS5 directors cut.

i just launched game, signed in with my existing psn account and i can confirm there is no option to import progress

Thanks for the clearification. I'll wait a bit, until some save editor come up for single player, or official PS5 saves transfer will be a thing. Might be awesome to continue play with it on PC with unbounded graphics or on my steam deck when I am on the go.
