I wish I could tell which games used OpenGL and which faked it with slow D3D9 wrappers, before buying.

Why does it only trigger if it's my only platform selected? There are many low end games I'd love to see on Linux but I also have a windows machine for serious gaming.

And when will there be the Linux-Starter? A kickstarter-like mutual pledge of the form “once there are n Linuxers interested in the game, the developers will port it and the Linuxers buy it”

Cool but... Well... I use wishlist as a shopping list. Polluting it with crap that doesn't run on Linux makes no sense - I'm not planning on buying it until it does. Why not a separate feature, e.g. "Notify me when it's available on platform X"?
