Start Steam Minimised

Please add the option to start Steam minimised (minimized for those in the US).

This option is available in Windows and works fine there. I have other Linux apps that start minimised, so it's an available option.

start steam with argument
-silent

for example, in kde plasma, I go to system settings -> startup and shutdown -> autostart, add steam shortcut there, and append the parameter given above into arguments line of the shortcut properties. and here I have steam autostarting silently.
