[Solved]Starfield and kisak-fresh mesa PPA
I had an update from kisak-fresh mesa 23.1.6 to 23.1.7, I fortunately made a timeshift backup first. My game loaded, but when I went through a load door the game froze and then kicked me out to the Linux Mint lockscreen login page. Restoring the timeshift backup fixed it.

Just a heads up to remember to timeshift before upgrading the mesa drivers.

Linux Mint 21.2
RX 6950 XT

Edit: issue persists with kisak-fresh 23.1.8

Edit 2: working fine with kisak-fresh 23.2.1 refresh that was released Nov 17th.

I had problems with oibaf Mesa drivers last week, maybe there was an upstream error?

entirely possible ... just glad I timeshifted first and that linux gives me the choice to ignore the upgrade until I see it working as expected.

I confirm kisak-fresh 23.1.7 and mint makes the game crash on loading a save or a new game. Rollback to 23.1.6 solve everything.
Disable kisak ppa and wait for the 23.1.8

I just tried the kisak-fresh 23.1.8, save loaded, took a few steps and got kicked out to the mint lock screen login page again.

just tried kisak-fresh 23.2.1 and when I click continue game it freezes on the loading screen, back to 23.1.6 again.

just tried kisak-fresh 23.2.1 refresh released Nov 17th and the game runs well on it, played for a couple hours to test with no issues.
