I have a copy acquired through alternative means that works just fine. I used Bottles to install/manage it however.

Protip: remember to disable AA in-game since it results in certain effects being rendered in black.

I suspect it was delisted before Proton was a thing, so ProtonDB has no record for it. The Voyage Elite Force games are similar, but I get the impression that they've never been on Steam since even SteamDB has no record of them.

Yeah I checked proton, but only one I saw is new prey. I also agree what Isdninja said.
