Steam for Linux

My cursor is not displaying in fullscreen
Hello people.
I've been playing games on linux for a really long time now, but nothing like this ever happened to me while playing. In MOST games (Balatro does fine), my mouse cursor doesn't show up in fullscreen, but ONLY in fullscreen. So I have to play most of my games (every single one except for Balatro) in windowed mode.
You know, I hate windowed games, so, if know of anything that could solve it, I would appreciate it a lot.
Thanks.

That might happen for games that capture the mouse or use a controller, like FPS games. Games that use a mouse pointer during play are usually fine. Hitting escape to enter the menus enables the mouse cursor in most cases but might still confine it to the game. You can get a more seamless mouse integration (mouse can leave the game without alt+tabbing) by enforcing Proton experimental or hotfix for your game.
might be wayland issue as well.
If only windowed works, how about windowed fullscreen??

IIRC in Waylad there was an issue with applications run in true fullscreen, unlike X11, and maybe that is what is causing the issue you are seeing, also it could be a problem with scaling, so it may be a good idea to also look into that.

You say that you have been playing on Linux for a long time… How long is a long time? Sorry to ask this, because I myself have been using and gaming on Linux for a very long time (in my case, almost 30 years, and yes, gaming has been there with me from the beginning). It could also help a bit more if you could tell us something about your system, hardware and software configuration.

One question would be: What did you change before or stopped working?

Yeah, windowed fullscreen does work, but there's always some blank spaces the game doesn't hide. It's not like I can't play the game in windowed mode, I just wan't to enjoy my games in fullscreen.
Also, I've been gaming on linux since about when minecraft came out, my dad is a really linux nerd so any PC in my house has always had linux as the OS.
