Will I be able to play all my games if I move to tiny 11
Hi lads how's it goin, I currently have windows 11 pro unactivated on my PC and the watermark is driving me nuts. I know nothing about Linux as I grew up on windows, I read that tiny 11 is a distro of Ubuntu and was wondering will everything work fine if I made the change.
Thanks lads✝️

never used tiny 11, but on linux mint (ubuntu based) I can play my single player games just fine. co-op and multiplayer games that use rootkit level anticheat may (most likely will) have an issue running on linux, so you may want to setup a dual boot of linux and windows (separate internal drives recommended) and keep any anticheat games on the windows drive.

What is Tiny11 [www.auslogics.com]

It's still Win 11, just a stripped out version.

I'm having a pretty good time so far running all my Windows games on Ubuntu thanks to Steam Proton. Most games "just work" with no tinkering required.

I've heard Ubuntu, Mint, and Pop OS are the more user-friendly Linux distros, so you might want to consider those.

Based on my experience so far I'd recommend Ubuntu... works great for my gaming so far, and helped me get off of Windows.

Ok thanks g
Linux Mint (Cinnamon) is the way to go, imo. The Cinnamon version looks a lot like Windows 7, so Windows users feel right at home on it.

Oh yeah sorry I meant it in a good way lol
POP os Nvidia here, I have 2 games thus far that needed tweaks they both are over 20 years old but I got both working with just some searching, both on Steam and I haven't tried all games(that would take years). What I have played in the last 2.5 years on POP.
About a 3rd of my Steam games.
NES emulated games
SNES games
Genesis games
GBA games
PSX, PS2, and PS3 games
Gamecube games
Switch games
I haven't played any of my EPIC games or GOG games, more than a 100 there, and about a thousand console games through different emulators.

PS: not a pirate, been playing games since the early 80's and have bought just about every console released (US) through the years with thousands of games in a sum between all of them.

History extra: I used to buy 3 to 4 games every week for the Atari back in the 80's at a store named Zares, 50 cents to 2 dollars a game. GOOD TIMES:)

If you have not yet tried it, I've had pretty decent luck with the Heroic launcher for both Epic and GOG games thus far. A great many of them run fine using Proton or WINE. Although not quite as many "just work" as do on Steam, it's still quite a bit more than I would have expected that do run just fine with little to no fiddling / hackery required.

Yes I know several that have great success with Heroic, it's just a lot of my older more favorite games catch my attention too often:)
I'm still choosing to stay on Windows 7 / Windows 10...
