If you are having trouble when selecting moves or something its usually the predictions causing the trouble. I've read around the internet that the mod "only optimised moves" helps alleviate problems.

Unfortunately this didn't work. I actually uninstalled it because there were bugs and it stopped grabs :(

As far as I could tell you are not alone. But I personally haven't seem much in terms of solutions. Though I obviously didn't search everywhere. I personally It can't solely be a hardware problem btw. I don't have it in the main game but in my mod development environment I have that issue. Basically clicking on a move for the first time freezes the game for 0.5 - 1 second. Only after I clicked on the moves once the predictions show up without delay.

If you just downloaded the game, did you sub to a big modpack? When I bought it I opted to make my own modpack (abt 70 mods) which runs fine but a little while afterward my friend asked me to download a pretty sizeable one (specifically the “hustlers only” modpack) which tanked my frames to an inconsistent 30 fps. unsure if its a specific mod, load order stress or something else

Same here, I don't have any mods at all, not a single one, I downloaded the game for the first time and it works terribly for me, I can't even see the moves I'm doing I just press a button and hope my game doesn't crash before I can see the outcome, I can't even watch the replays.
