My actual review on this game is not recommended since RE6 game since is not sticking to survival horror element, especially Leon's campaign where you play him as "Bruce Willis 2.0, die hard mode". But guess what? This game is really fun to play as action-and adventure style, especially co-op with friends, more like L4D.

Playing RE6 as RE is pathetic, but playing RE6 as action-adventure game is really fun.

Gameplay: 10/10 (You can run, charge towards enemies, and slide on the ground, character movement are extremely mobile)
Storyline: 5/10 (Too many characters in this game, especially new characters are redundant to RE series)

Do I recommend this game?
As survival horror, NO
As action adventure, YES

I first played RE6 on console years ago during launch...and just now trying it again.

Honestly? Trying it in 2024 STILL shows how much of a clear step back this game was for the franchise.

I'm not a huge stickler on "needs horror!" as I was a fan of RE5, actually. Nah, this game suffers from far worst elements. Poor/strange story writing plagues the majority of this game...and its action-themed style forces it to compete with other action games of the time, like Uncharted/etc...which it fails in comparison.

Probably the most baffling to me? Despite being practically universally hated by the video gaming community at this point...RE6 still incorporates a ♥♥♥♥ ton of QTE, quick time events with button mashes for literally everything, FREQUENTLY.

It's quite a shame because honestly character animations and controls feel good, dodging/rolling, laying on ground while shooting, MOVING while shooting/etc.

It's not worth $20, but grab it for $5 on sale if you want to try it. Otherwise, at this point, definitely stick with RE4 remake.

I was aware of this game and the review the public has given it as the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the RE series and coming from a huge RE fan myself and my friend decided to play it. Previously we just finished the RE5 campaign and went onto this game right after, if you get this game and think its going to be like RE2R or RE4 then you are wrong. This game is a mix of the back end of the xbox 360 shown by its limitations and controls but it still is a RE game and has parts of it. It took us around 22 hours to beat ALL OF the 4 campaigns with 5 missions each.

We started by playing Leons and Helena's campaign and i played as Helena I would say this is the weakest one, the first 3 missions were rough and we told ourselves that we were in for a long time (each mission is around 45 - 1 hour in length), the missions were boring and felt long especially the first mission we had to escort some random dude and it was ♥♥♥♥ and not enjoyable. The last 2 were ok nothing was that outstanding and with this game being “co-op” the things you do in the campaign are different depending on the character you play (Ada's campaign is a different story with co-op) so in the finale fight Leon is duking it out with Simmions while Helena just has a sniper shooting.I would give this a 6.5/10 it had a rough start and the story wasn't that good either and I could see why it would turn people off if they started with it.

Next, we played Jake and Sherry (I was Sherry) and this had to be the best campaign each of the missions was different and was engaging and the relationship that Jake and Sherry had was good and the best characters in this game. Jake is Weskers son so there were a lot of callbacks and he had his FISTS as his main weapon and did parkour ♥♥♥♥ while Sherry Birkin is from RE2 where Leon and Claire save her so when she meets Leon and chris is a cool callback. Playing this one brought the spark back coming from Leon's missions and this was the best part of RE6 due to the mission environments and the characters. This was an easy 10/10 for this game nothing was bad and the story was also good with Jake being posed as a bad guy but turning good and helping Sherry.

We played Chris and Piers (i was Piers) third and these missions felt like MW2 on the 360 it was a lot of run and gun and so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ door cut scenes. I wasn't the biggest fan of this one the missions were alright except the 3rd mission which took us 2 hours due to a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ boat section that wasn't hard it was just frustrating. Another thing that wasn't good about the campaign was PIERS HIMSELF when we first saw him in a cut scene with Sherry and Jake I already knew he was going to be an ass, he isn't funny, interesting, or unique, he's just a army dude that doesn't look masculine at all and all he does is ♥♥♥♥ ride Chris calls him captain all the time and he pissed me off while I played him. He did have a heroic end but it didn't make up for how lame he was. This was a 7.5/10 it was good but not my favorite and Piers sucked.

Then we ended it with Ada's campaign and we were thinking how are they going to do co-op for this campaign hmmmmm???. OH let's just add in stereotypical AGENT GUY and that's who i played. This was super lazy from Capcom and it seemed like a last-minute addition like they forgot it had to be co-op. Agent literally couldn't do anything besides shoot i couldnt open doors or chests and didn't appear in any cutscenes and Ada has a grappling hook that was a key point but ♥♥♥♥ out of luck for Agent so once Ada used it Agent would just appear and most of the time I was in front of Ada he would just Teleport and he also didn't say anything and I'm pretty sure he used the same run and walk animation as Ada. The missions were not the best because they were all repeat locations from Leon and Chris, so there was nothing new and they weren't the most engaging either. Ada's story is also odd Simmions the main bad guy cloned his ex-wife using Ada's DNA and then the “clone Ada” wanted to destroy the world to get revenge on Simmions so during the entire game there were 2 Adas one in the iconic red shirt then clone Ada in a blue dress. I would rank it the same as Chris with a 7.5/10 as there was nothing new and the whole co-op thing was super lazy.

Once we beat the 4 campaigns we expected a final mission where everyone would meet up or something but nope, we got a random cut scene with Jake in some random Middle Eastern country eating an apple and then punching BOWs with his Wesker super powers and nothing was ever brought up about this again.

This game didn't feel like a proper RE game but i wasn't expecting it to be one, it was a stupid game with some of the cut scenes and how there was always a tanker trailer that blew up in every mission but that made it fun. The hate this game got isn't deserved yes it's not a masterpiece but it was the ♥♥♥♥ end of the 360 and they wanted to crank up the action in this game it still sold copies with around 12.7 million. If you are just getting into resident evil I wouldn't recommend this game but if you are experienced and have a friend who also likes RE I would say play it it's a stupid game but it is fun.

THIS IS ALSO THE FIRST RESIDENT EVIL GAME I BOUGHT AT FULL PRICE….. I don't know how to feel about that
