see that link, btw I most warn that unlocking the framerate on this game can cause game bugs, specially at very high framerates, do it at your own risk.

You can download the Quake 4 Tweaker. It enables uncapped framerate. And will apply to every single mod you have installed, including Q4Max.

I'm curious why somebody needs 240 fps on a game that runs fine at 60 fps. Is it a bench mark thing or a status thing, never understood the need for this quota, I'm not into bravado brag stats or in need of an ego boost. I am not saying this about you, just asking in general.

if you have a 75hz 120hz 144hz or a 240hz monitor youll understand why people want to play at native monitor refreshrate,

i recently tried playing a 60fps(console port) its fine on 144hz but its a bit laggy for my liking. so theres always a reason.

that said 60fps is fine on monitors that does only 75hz and 60hz but its a big difference in responsiveness at 120+ hz monitors.
