I really love this game as much as Odyssey and Origins, But just can't play it.
Such a shame, Ruins the experience with constant lock ups.
Game lasted about 20 minutes then freezes to desktop.
Game is a joke, Ubisoft needs to patch it
but
borderless full screen mode fixed this for me , yesterday i played 4 hours straight without any crash.
Same, Seems to be this game only, Even other Ubisoft games are stable, Just did entire play through of Far Cry 6 and not a single crash in the few weeks of playing it, Also Division 2 no crashes. Any recommendation as to which Nvidia driver is most stable for Valhalla, How far back do I have to go?
Yep checked, And sure enough that error constantly pops up. I'll try an older driver later.
Also last night I managed 5 hours and no crash so far, Cleaned up some other errors in there had GameInputsvc.exe popping up, Uninstalled conflicting old version of that and Valhalla hasn't crashed in over 5 hours, Could be pure coincidence though as I would think it's more likely the nvlddmkm causing issues, If it crashes again I'll try an older driver and report back to everyone if that fixes it or at least gives me an entire day without Valhalla crashes.
I also have only ''nvlddmkm'' error i tried most fixes and nothing works it only happens in Valhalla.. i will try borderless as Avandas suggested to see if it helps.. in 174 hours i had around 60-70 crashes, i'm done with the base game, finished DLC Wrath of the Druids, i've just begun Siege of Paris.. i think i need 70-80 hours to complete everything with master challenges and two more DLC's, it's sad Ubisoft didn't patch this... but yeah there is no solution to problem other than trying older drivers and see what works for you, i personally won't do it cuz i'm 75% done with the game, i'll just pray i don't crash often... good luck guys.
For reference i have: 5700X, 32GB DDR4, 3080 10GB, 1TB SSD.
Could be pure luck though, I'm on latest driver as well which is weird.
I still think everyone should check windows event viewer and see what other errors are popping up around the time of your game crash, See if there is any conflicting old drivers that may be from something else such as Gameinputsvc.exe where I had an older version causing problem with the new version in windows system and windows system 32.
Game so enjoyable when there is no damn crashes.
Just as a reference for my pc specs,
Intel 12700k stock speeds
32GB G Skill DDR5 6000(running at 4800 no xmp)
2TB Samsung 980 pro M.2 SSD
Nvidia RTX 4080
MSI 27inch 165hz IPS 1440p
Definitely not my pc being too slow causing Valhalla to crash, I don't even game at 4k either and Div 2 last night no problem same as Far cry 6 I beat a few weeks back not a single crash the entire game at max settings.
It's either Valhalla game itself or some driver issue such as nvlddmkm or another error in your event viewer.
