  • Cruise Ship Rain Fix: Fixed rain passing through the deck ceilings
    
  • Cruise Ship Ceiling Light Modified: Added ceiling lights in the cruise ship hallways when they are wide enough
    
  • Navmesh Improvement: Fixed some objects that were incorrectly affecting the navmesh. This might improve performance on maps with moving laser puzzle in vault.
  Known Bugs:
  • Some performance improvements have been made, but we’re still investgating for more improvements for the Cruise Ships.

A new regular update for Dark Hours is now live! In this update, we’re introducing a new rotation of maps for all game environments except the recently added Cruise Ship. This means you’ll now have the opportunity to explore 8 new maps for the Auction House, Museum, Casino, and Power Plant. Let’s start a new heist night!

In addition, we’ve been working hard to fix performance and optimization issues you’ve reported over the past few days. While improvements are added to this update, we will continue investigating these issues in the coming days—more improvements are on the way.

• Driftborn Movement Fix: Fixed a bug where the Driftborn stopped moving when a player opened a door.

• Salt Driftborn Fix: Fixed a bug where the Driftborn didn’t react to a player throwing a salt shaker at it

• SFX Driftborn & Salt:Added a reaction SFX for the Driftborn when hit by salt

• Driftborn Dissolve Fix: Fixed a bug where the Driftborn could trigger its dissolve effect for no apparent reason

• Monster Overlap Dynamic Modifie: This option has been adjusted to improve in-game performance

• Environment Seeds Modified: Replaced the seeds for Auction House, Museum, Casino, and Power Plant

• Toilet Cabin Fix: Fixed the toilet booth collider to prevent players from crawling next to it

• Laser Vault Fix: Fixed a bug where a laser could sometimes be embedded in a pillar in the cruise ship vault mini-game

• Sofa Cruise Ship Fix: Fixed a bug where sofas were spawning lower than they should

• Trashcan Fix: Fixed a bug where trashcans could block monster navigation

• Van Cinematique Fix: Fixed a bug where clients only saw a wheel instead of the van in the intro cinematic

• Electrocuted Animation Fix: The electrocution animation stopped while the electrocution effect was still ongoing

• Missing Rain in Casino Fix: Fixed a bug where the rain in the casino patio could sometimes be missing

• Performance issues in Cruise Ships are still under investigation.

• Blind Ghoul Fix: Fixed a bug where the Blind Ghoul specifically targeted metal doors, especially in the auction house

  • Doors' light Fix: Door lights on the cruise ship now correctly turn off when the power is cut.
    
  • Deck Name Fix: Fixed an issue where cruise ship decks could have illogical names (e.g., Deck 4 when only 2 exist)
    
  • Laser Reveal Fix: Fixed rare cases where the fire extinguisher didn’t correctly reveal lasers
    
  • Deadbody Laser Fix: Fixed a bug where dead bodies could reveal lasers

  • Sink Item Pivot Fix: In the public bathrooms and captain's quarters on the cruise ship, the pivots for filling the watergun and balloons were swapped

  • Performance issues in Cruise Ships are still under investigation and will be normally mostly solved on monday
    
  • The rejoin feature still has a few glitches, such as contract desynchronization.

• Score Screen Fix: First Score Screen now correctly updates and no longer always shows the Success/Failed status and score from the first game played.
  
• Score Screen Synchronization Fix: Fixed a bug where the statistics shown to clients did not match those of the host.
  
• Extinguisher & Laser Fix: The extinguisher can now reveal all types of lasers.
  
• Explosives Objective Modified: In solo mode, increased the time to allow planting all bombs.
  
• Kitchen Sink Fix: The kitchen sink can now correctly fill the water gun and balloons.
  
• Flashlight Modified: Adjusted the flashlight’s attenuation.
  
• Laser Vault Cruiseship: Fixed a bug where all the lasers in the vault were not deactivated once it was completed."

• Detention Room Casino Fix: Fixed a bug where lights would not spawn in this casino room.

• Cabin & Captain Quarters Layout Modified: Updated the layout of these two rooms to prevent any monster navigation issues.

Hello everyone! Dark Hours has been in Early Access since October 24, 2024. Since then, we’ve already released 5 major updates – the latest one, Cruise Into Madness, went live just yesterday!

Today, we’re thrilled to share some big news with you: we’re planning to launch version 1.0 of Dark Hours this Fall 2025!

For the occasion, we’ve prepared a brand-new announcement trailer highlighting the PvP mode planned for v1.0.
