Color coded enemies and flow chart combos that ask very little of the player, a lack of lock-on and the bosses being big set pieces with no ability to combo.
The Game itself is very good. Even the press had mostly good things to say about the title. See Moby Games link under Critics (Average score: 85%).
A sequel was in the works, but was cancelled two weeks before alpha status:

I hated it to my guts.
DMC reboot is just after the DMC4 in term of gameplay.
Dmc4 is by far the most complex and pleasing combo maker.
DMC5 is almost a roll back, rebellion is a SHAME, the motorbike is a joke and vergil 12546 types of arm is annoying. V is useless Dante has only 50% of is original combo and mission are full of useless cutscenes, you cant choose who you play.
How the hell did dmc5 sold better than DMC ?
I would say : video game has reached a lot of people, DMC is famous, 4 and DMC sold 6 and 5 millions copies but it was 10-15 years ago.
So 8 millions on DMC5 isnt that impressive nowadays .
Lets see if 6 get better or worse.
