I had the same problem and had to re-do the fight

I had this too and ended up using noclip to fly up above her to enter the trigger - you've gotta be careful though because when leaving noclip if you're in the wrong place it'll put you outside the elevator, and then the level transition won't fire - the best spot I found was slightly in front of her and above, to stop the game putting me back on the ground after I turned noclip off.

The problem is the position of Alyx, she stops in the center of the teleport and the player does not enter at all, try to jump over her head using a turret or something that will help you to climb.

Same problem here, i didn't try to redo the fight, i noclip and it works. It's the only broken bug i had so far, i had some bugs with npcs doing strange things, never had these on the previous build

I had this problem. Once Alyx enters grab a turret or two and place them right in front of the teleporter entrance. Jump on top of the turret, then ont op of Alyx and you will finish the sequence

Seems like a new issue they introduced with the update. I've played this 1000 times and never had this happen. Had to noclip into Alyx to trigger the elevator.

Same goodness I wasn't the only one with the same issue. I've noticed right after the update playing HL2, there was a few bugs in the game involving sequences between NPCS

"My nostalgia! It's ruined!" Yeah, discovered same here, surprised Valve didn't test this before putting the update out.

Same trouble. Only help is jump to Alyx's head. Try do this.
Nuance: if you gonna do it, soldiers will shoot you through barrier. So I hope, you have enough HP for teleportaion under enemy fire)

SOLVED! If you don't put any turrets on the platform near the teleporter, the sequence will play out normally and Alyx will not bug out. Valve broke something with Alyx's behavior to friendly turrets, so she bugs out when entering a teleporter and causes this softlock.

Turret did not help for me. I put the piece of the wall on the ground in front of Alyx and rocketjumped using gravity gun to get on top of her. Thanks for the idea
