Proteus killed my GTX.

That's really all there is to it. I tried running the game a while ago, it black screened my computer. Tried it again the other night, and it caused my computer to blue screen, and when I got it working again, Windows didn't recognize my GPU and I've had to take steps to re-enable it.

I don't need help, not really. Just letting people know. Be careful.

I've played Proteus on my GeForce GTX 1050 TI for years and never had any problems.

What killed your gpu might be more complex than one old game running,
or it might be something specific to your GTX version and other specs.

Actually this game seems to use a lot of cpu, not so much gpu at all.

I thought you were just trolling but you actually have 1000hrs in this game, what keeps you coming back to it?

I thought you were just trolling but you actually have 1000hrs in this game, what keeps you coming back to it?

It is a really, really good 'mood-setting' tool. Can sit down for a sunset on a mountain or enjoy the rain in a graveyard, and every area has their own synth music clips. Sometimes just play it in the background too.

lol.
I have the game from a long time, I don't remember playing it. I was just revisiting my library and decided to play it.
Just started the game and I got black screen and the game hang. Then I proceed to Process Explorer to kill it and I see Virus Total detects 3 threats :)
