Ghostpia is a surreal visual novel that is densely packed with meaning. It's themes are clear, but how each scene ties into those themes sometimes isn't. On my first experience, Episode 4's plot felt a bit dramatic, and I was confused as to why so much of Episode 5 centred around AI. The artstyle is very neat and I like a good horror story, but is season 1 ok as a standalone, or will it leave me feeling like I watched an unfinished story? Also, how is the writing in general? Is it good? I gather that theres a dramatic tone shift after chapter 1, but is it handled ok?
