Game crash on startup on systems with more than 8 threads:
Use one of those methods
Download High thread count fix from GOG Support and put all files from the archive to "<path-to-game>".
Reduce the amount of cores or disable HyperThreading/SMT on your BIOS/UEFI settings.
Reduce the amount of threads used by windows trough msconfig. Press "R+win key" on your keyboard, write "msconfig" and press enter. In msconfig go to "boot" tab and "advanced options", check the "number of processors" checkbox and select 8 or 4. Accept the changes and restart your computer. In order to undo the changes just go again to msconfig and unckeck the "number of processors checkbox.
I disabled the hyperthreading in the BIOs and reduce my I9 to 4 cores and the game now working.
I'm so happy to play again with this game
