Why did they remove the game form steam store?

Ubisoft idea, appear they bought the dev studio, Sierra, and then diverted the staff for other IP's, and decided for some crap reason, pull off the game from here and shutdown the support for it and the original studio responsable for the game
rn only GoG sold copies of it
and theres a discord server with fanmade servers
a true and great shame, since this rts had been among the best of his age, and its great even for today standarts.

Ah, didn`t know.... sad thing. The game holds up really well and IMO is more fitting today than the year it released.
