World in Conflict: Soviet Assault

Crash On Launch(Launcher won't even open)
I've seen issues of the game crashing repeatedly.

-I've tried to verify the cache, which just downloads 12 files in an indefinite loop every single time, and it still crashes. I don't even get to the launcher; it just closes immediately, and has already gotten locked in my RAM once.
-I've tried to find the Game Options file, but it doesn't exist yet due to the fact I can't even get to the launcher.
-I've tried compatibility mode for Windows 7, 8, XP, Vista and none work.
-One post here suggested to only install the Soviet Assault files, that didn't work either.

My specs are well beyond what this game recommends, so that's definitely not an issue.
If anyone has a fix for this, I'd be greatly appreciative!

I can't post the link to the patch (Steam community guideline)

But search for "World in Conflict - Launch Crash on a computer with multicore CPU" you can download a patch from GOG that will likely fix your problem.

Fix works but not on Steam. Massgate gives the download and CD key away for free on their website.

Welp, that'd probably be it. Ryzen 9 3950x here, so im gonna assume that's the issue at hand. Thanks!!!

Right click link -> copy link address -> paste into new Chrome window then enter. For some reason you can't download the file directly (must be an issue with Chrome because when I used Opera it's working fine).

I bought & downloaded the game from GOG. I swapped my 5950x for a 5800x3d a while ago and the game plays fine other than the Canal map, it causes crashes.

Marked post worked for me, use the GOG version of the game. World in Conflict - Complete Edition. Downloaded and extracted files from the GOG forum into game install directory. Just search "World in Conflict - Launch Crash on a computer with multicore CPU" as the marked post says and click on the link that brings you to the GOG support center.

RTX 3080 ti
i9-12900k
32GB DDR5
Windows 10 Home Version 22H2
