I've never bothered with WH40K before.
Now I'm a fan.

Really enjoyable experience, it's awesome being able to role-play a benevolent (and remarkably stupid) ruler in a grimdark setting such as this one.

Combat is very entertaining, multitude of build options for your characters (although let's be real, bonus turns are king and make even the hardest encounters trivial; I usually ran 3 Officers and 1 main damage dealer, oftentimes the fights ended before the second round started).

LOVE Act 3, I've seen a lot of people complain about it and to my surprise it turned out to be my favorite part of the game (but act 4 is my favorite one in PF:WOTR, so take my opinions with a grain of salt).

Played on Steam Deck and haven't encountered any major bugs.
The only notable issue I had to endure was with interaction prompts - sometimes characters would run around in circles rather than interact with stuff.
Oh, and loading screens are a ♥♥♥♥♥, definitely too many of them. Other than that everything was really smooth, they fixed most of the things people complained about.

8.5/10, half a point off due to Act 5 feeling a bit rushed.

Unfortunately they still haven't "learned" the lesson, imo they would be more successful in releasing shorter but more "complete" games.

My personal experience in playing it now has been positive, 25$ for a 100H games (re-playing it and doing a Dogmatic run).
First run was heretic and it could be better but i'm fine with it.
Fun game, fun 40K game, nothing "too morbid" : i could've missed some side quests, this is fine with me, i can read the books, they might've had trouble releasing the game otherwise (explanation : we have Chaos + Drukhari, i would've like some more spice to the violence and themes).

Game still has some bugs, but nothing game breaking.
Compared to their previous games it's still a bit "complicated" but i managed to have an OP party by the end without looking at any kind of guide, i played at Daring and by the end i could wipe entire encounters with only my MC. The previous Pathfider games i found i had to look up some online guides to make some good builds.

I don't really know about the people complaining about Act 3,4, i found the whole game very enjoyable and entertaining in it's entirety. Could be better? Sure but that can be said of everything.

A flawed gem.

Rarely a game is able to translate so well the Warhammer 40k atmosphere like this one. It's a marvel, really fun and well written.
If you are a fan, give these guys some love and your money, they deserve it, and Games Workshop needs to see what kind of games are worth to invest on, so we can see more amazing titles like this one.
