Y'know knowing overkill they'd bite
Actually we have made one Chinese localization mod with all localized strings and an open-sourced font from long time ago, and have kept updating it for more than 4 years by now.
You can check the following link for my community guide of this mod (including multiple actual screenshots)

I'd be much appreciated if we can get official support so we might do proofreading with better efficiency and provide every Chinese player with perfect reading experience!
some informations about the two Translation team in China:
There are 2 Chinese Localization mod in Chinese Community: PDLG and 联合(United)
联合 is fan-base translation group, the early translation is kind chaotic, untill about mid 2016 they decided to letting one translator become major translator, and maintain the overall quality of translation. Chinese payday2 community are more prefer 联合's translation (before they recent update), due to its common language uses and fast update
PDLG is more professional, least their translations really looks like some serious sh*t, except about 10% of their translations are wrong. (I used be a translator for 联合 translation group, and being the major translator for 2018 the whole year, and im pretty sure there are amount number of story-related lines are miss-translated (least in 2018) ) Due to some technical issue (?), only few amount of people are using PDLG
No need, for now at least. I'm still handling the Spanish translation, I just didn't make any progress lately as I'm prioritizing bug fixes to pass on to the devs.

I have plenty more of them than the ones shown in there (and MANY of them are huge ones), I've been mostly implementing them into Crackdown before the game got revived, so I'm going slowly with all of them to make sure there are no issues with vanilla PD2 code.
After I'm done with most of them, I'll start translating again.
@Schrodinger_Sig
We know there are extensive chinese mods and we would be very happy to work with people from those mods. When we review the applications later anyone that worked on the mods would be interesting.
We are hopping to expand the number of translators and prehaps even add more then one to some languages, if needed. It all depends on how many applications we get.
