Greetings, Space Marines!

We’re only 41 days away from the release of Space Marine 2; it’s the perfect time for our monthly Community Update! (got it? 41 days? 41st Millenium?😉😉) We can sense the excitement growing as the release gets closer, and even more, since we announced that

SPACE MARINE 2 IS OFFICIALLY GOLD

For those unfamiliar with the gaming industry, this means that the game has been approved by Microsoft and Sony and that we’ve been given the green light for the production of our retail boxes. Though we’ll continue to work on polish until the release, this essentially means that the game is ready.

This is a huge milestone for the teams and another major step towards the game’s full release on September 9, so we’re very proud to share the good news with you all.

Frequently Asked Questions

Over the past months, we’ve seen many questions about the precise features of the game. We’ll try to tackle a few here:

Do I need to have played Space Marine 1 to go into Space Marine 2?
- Not at all! While there are returning characters, it's a fresh story that can be understood as its own without having played the first game.

Will the game be available on GeForce Now?
- Yes.

Will it be possible to pre-download the game before the release?
- No.

Is there couch co-op?
- No, co-op features will only be available online.

Does the game require to be “always online” to play?
- Offline mode is available for the campaign
- PVE can be played offline, but you won't have access to progression if you do not connect to the servers.

How long does it take to complete the campaign?
- On average, the campaign should take between 10 to 12 hours to complete. This can vary depending on the difficulty and your player profile.

What are the PC specs?
- At this moment, we are conducting the final PC specs tests. We’re very aware that it’s one of the most awaited information on the game, and we will come back to you within the next couple of weeks with the recommended and minimum specs.

What’s next in August?

We know you’re super thirsty for more content so be assured that you do not need to worry, you can expect more videos to pop up on our YouTube and social media channels (Discord[discord.gg], Twitter[x.com], Facebook[www.facebook.com]).
Talking about videos, we’re currently publishing on our secondary channel a series of short videos detailing some aspects of the game: weapons, enemies, environments…

Amongst the upcoming short videos, there will be more weapons, a rundown of the different PvE classes, and more!

On top of that, you can expect co-op previews to start dropping during August, with content creators starting publishing videos on their side as well.

Next, we’ll detail the post-launch content of Space Marine 2 in a blog article that should be published around mid-August.

Finally, we’re reaching the final stages of our North America Tour, with Chicago (August 16-18) and Toronto (August 22-25) being the final places where you’ll be able to put your hands on Space Marine 2’s demo before the release.

Space Marine 2 - June Community Update

Greetings Space Marines,

Your growing enthusiasm regarding Space Marine 2 has us incredibly motivated. Last week, you discovered our detailed Gameplay Overview Trailer: a 6-minute in-depth look into the game modes. It features creative director Oliver Hollis-Leick, who dissects the 3 different game modes: Campaign, Operations and Eternal War!

In Campaign mode, lasting approximately 12 hours, you embody Lieutenant Titus, right after the events of the first opus. Titus fights alongside his Battle-Brothers Chairon and Gadriel against swarms of Tyranids and Chaos.
In Operations mode, you can either play with 2 mates or solo in endlessly replayable PvE action. Face swarms of Tyranids on 6 different maps to defend the Imperium.
Last but not least, in Eternal War, fight in heated 6v6 matches in 3 different classic game modes: Annihilation, Seize Ground and Capture & Control).

→ Annihilation is Team Deathmatch mode: two teams compete against each other. Each take down earns your team 1 point. First team to reach 50 points wins the match.

→ Seize Ground is a domination mode: Two teams compete to keep control of one zone that’s moving throughout the match. Keeping control of the zone grants your team points. The winner is the team that reaches the total amount of points given.

→ Capture & Control is a King of the Hill mode: There are 3 specific zones in the arena and each team fights to control them. Gaining and keeping control of a zone grants your team points. Be the first to obtain a certain amount of points to win the match.

Dedicated servers

We’re happy to confirm that Space Marine 2 will feature dedicated servers, enhancing your experience in multiplayer. We have prepared a bunch of servers in North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Oceania.

About a Beta

Over the past few weeks, we have seen incredible excitement around the game, both online and at the shows during the North American tour. Our teams at Focus and Saber have been truly blown away by your passion, and we’ve loved seeing the fan art, reactions and memes that you have shared so far.

Space Marine 2 is almost ready. We are now entirely focused on optimization, polish and fixing remaining issues ahead of launch on September 9. This means we will not run a public online beta, as it would take the development teams away from preparing for the full launch, and our priority is to ensure the best possible experience at release.

We know this is disappointing news for some of you. As a thank you to those interested in participating, players who registered via the online signup before June 28, 2024, midnight Paris Time, will receive the limited Bolt Pistol skin below.

I haven't seen any leaked clips of this game on YouTube anymore. I think the leaked clips were just a sneaky marketing strategy by the game to show that it's not woke, babe.

Why should we support GW by buying this ?.

They sold out their IP And lore to Amazon to be turned into a mess of woke & lgbtq political agendas... utterly destroying the lore. Why should we buy this game and let our money pile into GW when they don't even respect their own IP and lore enough to protect it....

System Specs: Ambiguous or Cause for Concern?

How many of you guys meet or exceed the system specs for both CPU and GPU requirements? Considering that most games target console specs it would seem that these requirements are on the heavy side, but the reality is that a PC focused game like this is able to be ambitious with the available hardware in mind. Though since this game is also releasing on console it could be concerning that the system requirements on PC are significantly ahead of the PS5 and Series X.
