Trusting players to only use mods in private matches without clearly stated and enforced punishments is basically the Moe's Bar Barney meme in motion

I'd give this maybe 4-6 months to go max, before all mod mayhem breaks loose
unmonitored and 'clean' players will be forced into private matches / offline mode only instead.
PVP becoming a GTA Lobby on roids meanwhile, ofcourse

it sounds more like you litterally will not be able to join public lobbies if your game has mods installed if you read the news.

Surely nothing will be released or downright implemented within mere hours to bypass that, would it?
Trust the honor code of the che....modders!

They actually did not really endorse modders if you read the full post. They specifically said they blame mods for the server instability and are disabling them in everything but private matches.

That's absolute nonsense
-No official mod support ( no tool to create them, no manager, we don't even have mods folder in files)

-Always online server's and EAC to play with mods online you need a fix that bypasses this restrictions

-mods themselves are very few and outside of one big mod we basically only have restrictions removal and models swap

Soooo how are they endorsing mods and how will it help with content?

Ban all mods. And all those hacker losers too.

yea its super fun seeing a lobby full of grenade launchers be defended with people saying this is the true power fantasy. Just turning it into a walker simulator. Glad that it should be regulated to private matches soon

Here's the official link
https://community.focus-entmt.com/focus-entertainment/space-marine-2/blogs/114-mod-support-a-message-from-the-game-director

Specifically,
"We will also be providing an easy entry point to our backend for games with mods installed, so modders won’t have to spend time hacking the game executable after each patch. If we somehow break this pipeline for mods by accident in the future, we’ll fix it. In addition to that, we will be releasing some of our tools to modders so they can develop mods with greater ease."

Maybe once the modders get going custom maps or ops to be able to play.
