To many options
Sooo i unlocked all cards for Gold and made ~2/3 of the achivements and still have to unlock arround 30ish cards. Now I try to make up builds and it's simply not happening. I have so much different cards I can't get builds to work anymore. For example I tried to get the unholy mg tower achivement done for hours now but it isn't working out at all because I get the tower cards once a blue moon.

I realy like the game and put in 10ish hours in one go but this gets out of hand and I'm a bit sad that all the optional cards kill builds I want to play or need to play for achivements. Anyone got any tips or do I need to get rid of my save to make the oneway achivements work.

Yup, same problem here - I didn't get the garrison only achievement early on and it's nearly impossible now since there are only 6 garrisons
For achievements, you just need to keep rerolling until you get a green one ( it shouldn't take long, although ending shift and reload the game is a big pita).
This is the main issue with the game , re-starting 20 times until you get a good starter is not fun
devs really have to fix this in some way like in Brotato or something
I wish there was a way to banish cards permanently. Maybe as a way to spend money after the promotions and hires.

More cards make the deck worse instead of better.
tbf the beginning setup is the main problem which has already been adressed with the new update giving you the choice of up to 2 green starting tower (placed as well as added to the deck)
Is night and day with the new update, it feels a lot better. I had no problem getting just 1 turret type for the achievements with more than half the cards unlocked.

Edit: I thought the game had 300-400 cards, I had 200 ish.

The new update helped a bit but why on earth can't I chosse the same card twice? On top of it some decks had far better options and chossing ccards makes it far worse then it was before especialy for the trading char.

The new update is a good step in the right direction but there is a lot more to do.

Just pick one card instead of two and your deck should have a copy of the 1 turret/garrison you picked. You can check what cards are inside your deck if you want to be sure.

Why on earth should I ever not pick a second building outside of single building challanges? I don't know what would be bad if we pick 2 of the same buildings in the beginning but it is like it is.

When did I say you should do that outside of single building challenges? I was talking in context of you saying you were struggling to do the unholy mg tower achivement.
Reread the first sentence in the text you quoted originaly :D .

Hey I know this post is old as hell lol but what does Brotato do to fix this too-many-cards problem? Haven't played the game much but I'm curious!

Hey I know this post is old as hell lol but what does Brotato do to fix this too-many-cards problem? Haven't played the game much but I'm curious!
they have a tag system which is hidden but basically a character that has "melee" "experience" "speed" tags for example will be in general get items that resolve around those tags and some characters have banned tags which they will never see those items in the item pool , this character has -100% gain to regen : this character will never see regen items in the shop .

Another example inside Brotato: if you start the game with Primitive tag weapons in general terms you're bound to have shown in the shop primitive tag weapons way more often than other kind of weapon and so on
The devs should do like in Vampire Survivors and allow the player to ban certain cards from ever showing up in runs. There are certainly some that I never use and them remaining in the pool just decreases the chances of getting the ones I actually want.
