100% Unholy Damage Run - Where's the Normal From??
Seems like no matter what I do, I always spoil my 100% Unholy runs somehow, even avoiding direct damage powers and items, and using just unholy towers/garrisons. What simple thing have I completely overlooked?

Any other damage spoils it. Stuff like spammer, spank, actives, employee powers, anything that isn't explicit on its damage type, or stuff that changes damage types.

Does that also count for rocks that increase a damage type, despite not having any structure that deals that damage type?
Just tried a Holy run with Unknown and had only Holy structures. yet the end screen showed a bit of Unholy damage, but I'm certain the only Unholy items I've used were the aforementioned rocks.

No, any buffs to damage type or crit does not cause that damage unless used by a card, structure, active ability, unit, or character ability. As indicated above, you may have used a card or buff that caused that damage type or an active ability. some buffs also trigger normal damage like that buff that goes off after using 4 cards or when your shield is depleted or even coin explosions will cause unholy damage. probably one card slipped through that you accidentally used or forgot a buff you had. and make sure the character your using doesn't cause other types of damage from their abilities (unknown for example damages enemies when rocks used exceed 200% damage on the gauge bar).
