Surprisingly deep and fun romp. It really does feel like an RPG and the progression system of unlocking things within the "secrets" menu isn't weighted against you as much as similar titles in the genre. If you want Vampire Survivors, this will definitely scratch that itch. If you're wanting a "Final Fantasy" Scrolling auto battler, this will scratch a similar itch there too with the added party/equipment systems.

This game isn't fully released, is missing half the zones, and is obviously needing a lot more work but even at the current stage of development its well worth the entry price. I'm at nearly 40 hours in and i still haven't finished the summoning elements arc within the current patch. Its good and you'd be surprised what is or isn't good depending on your starting character and supporting party.

Really wish this game was more fun in general, but it just isn't. At a certain point, you just can't level enough to survive the stages long enough to actually beat the later bosses. The "player buffs" you can purchase don't help enough. The people you can recruit don't help your main character enough. Why is this less fun than the game it's trying to emulate?

I wish I could get a refund, tbh.
