Boomerang upgrade?

Ate there any upgrades for my weapon?

It seems pretty rare, but some levels have upgrades for the weapon - but once you get it then you lose it after 3 hits. So it's hard to find and VERY hard to keep.

So you are supposed to complete game with default boomerang attack value?

That's how I did it. It was rough, but the only alternative is to essentially do a not-hit run. I made it to a boss ONE time with the upgraded boomerang, and the boss second form killed me and took it. :( Next time I ran the level I didn't get more than a few steps without taking hits from unavoidable damage.
