Im seeing a lot of players running around the first area, dont know, i dont mind the dated graphics, i love the conan comics when i was younger, i even stumble into Valeria hehehe, just soldier on and the game will grow on you, i think most quests are well made, but like any other mmo they dont go too far from kill x number of those and gather x number of that.

I've been playing the game since release in 2008, on the first day and I'm still playing. There is no other game of which I can say the same. Of course, updates and new raids would be great. the other day even a GM was there for a short time, had probably gotten lost but still nice that it is still alive. I would be very sad otherwise.

It's been in official maintenance mode for a number of years now so odds are it won't.

Funcom being Funcom there is always a chance some one will pull their head out, look around and finding the games still active put it back on the 'working titles' list, but I wouldn't hold my breath on that.

I just dont understand the prices they charge for the expansions and the store, the game is so old now everything should be a dollar hehehe, i think they would make way more money by charging pennies instead of this absurd prices.

need AOC to be migrated to UE 4.

lol, id love to see aoc get 10k+ more players and a full update, id definitely subscribe. the game has tons of potential to be very good, it just needs some attention.

Listen.. this game is like 20 years old, almost. Yes it's "abandoned" - the most popular word on steam discussions it seems. Or, it was finished a long time ago. And theres plenty of content. It's less buggy than RDR2 for what thats worth.
And theres still people around. Decent people actually..

Us that was around back when it released is just happy that they keep the servers running.
That's how it goes with all MMORPG's that aren't WoW.

man, WoW sucks though. this game is actually quite a bit better in my opinion. WoW was good until original WOTLK ended and Cataclysm was announced, then it quickly turned into garbage. i would love to see this game get some well deserved attention.

Are there any guilds atm clearing t5? i played for about 8 years till the game started to die. Twas a very sad day... AoC raids and group bosses were alot of fun to do. But putting a grp of 5/6 players to run group instances became a chore and sometimes hours of posting in global to get a certain class for the AAs. Sad that funcom let this one go to focus more on exiles. But it was certainly a fun game for many years , for me :)

Plenty of active guilds still. just ask in Global for one that does raids in your timezone. Black Lotus Rogues for example does T4 to T6 raids, starting time is always 8:45pm eastern (New York).

Im having more fun now doing the achivements, searching for those panorama balls hehehe, than killing crap to get x crap for the npcs, i swear to god mmos should really change those questlines.
Although this one has a lot of explaining and conversations to justify said crappy questline.
And i ran into the Ymirs daughter in Ymirs pass hehehe, i remember that story from the savage sword of conan alright, same thing the bit-ch led me to a trap.

You should have a lot of patience in this game. I, for example, have been trying to get a SG jewel for 3 years now... Anyone would be great, but the drop rate is miserable and no one gives you anything, even if you go in 10x and someone gets everything 10x while rolling, you'll go away empty-handed. That's the way it is in this game.

I just played my first group instance and i cannot understand how is this mess any fun. I mean 6 people going against a room full of elites that have way too much health hehehe, its chaos and i was the healer, overleveled for the place but i couldnt figure out what the heck was going on half of the time watching health bars go down and trying my best, i have more fun going solo.
Game is great though, i really love the setting being a Conan fan, so im gonna soldier through and try to see the world, as i did with WoW, another mess with groups.

Better you stop, there are already enough incompetent people who even stay a few days longer after the Worldboss.

Group content is a very scripted affair, you have to do X at exactly Y time or it fails. There's only a couple where it's more of a dog pile situation and you only have to just pound on the target.
