Has the intrusive DRM been removed yet from the game? It's on sale right now and it looks like a very atmospheric adventure game. But I'm asking about the DRM first, because I won't buy it if that stuff is still there. Thanks.

So I bought this game AGES ago, but could never get it to run on my old laptops (and was unaware of Steam refunds at the time). Now it finally runs boots, but I gave it my CD key, they had me make an account for some reason, and then they say my product key is already in use. Not sure how that's possible given that I was never able to play the game....

After reading the discussions and reviews about how I will have to join another gaming service to play the game has turned me right off from purchasing. This is the best way to kill game sales. Remove this feature and make it a straight download from Steam without all the extra steps and I will buy it, and I'm sure others will also....
