Are the pre-made stories "automated"?

The title basically says it. I'm wondering if the pre-made stories are voiced and "automated" like the tutorial so that a friend and I could do them, or if you would basically still need/want someone to do all of the DM stuff.

You'll still need someone to do the GM stuff! They are built so the GM can run them easily, but a GM is required.

We're looking at a headless / or GM-less mode down the line, though.
