Oh, weird. I specifically tested this before we applied the update with a picture of a mushroom.

Hello! We're aware of this issue - it's likely the custom portrait is uploaded when you do select it or do the full-screen view, but you won't see it in some of the avatar thumbnail places that it would normally appear. We're hoping to get this resolved in the next few days!

If you're seeing it not update at all - even in the character sheet view - please let me know, as that would be a new new bug!

Just an update here! This will be fixed with our next patch, which is coming very soon. It was indeed a bug.

The patch is live and this should be fixed!

Personally having trouble locating the Custom Portraits location so I can delete some as it seems once five are placed you can no longer add new ones.

Yes, this is a little confusing! When you get to the custom portraits section, right-click or long-press on one of your five; this should pop up the option to delete. That said, we are soon to release a patch that includes up to 40 custom hero portraits, if you want to hold off for a short while longer :))
