On Monday we've released a new DEMO for our game - we see that there's some confusion as to where to find it though.


Well, we might be a little biased, but yeah - it never hurts to try. The DEMO is based off of our endless mode - it's been a year since we've released this prologue, so by playing the newest build you can see for yourself how far we've come.

Hey, survivors!

Today, it’s going to be one of the most important days for our company, as we’re finally ready to share the release date with you. Having said that, we’ve decided to postpone the release date to February 28th, 2024. It was one and only decision that we could make, as Winter Survival has evolved tremendously since the prologue release. Furthermore, we’ve managed to implement some much anticipated features like building and combat systems. However, as we sat down together, we’ve realized that we need some extra time in order to implement additional features into the game and polish it even further. Hey, survivors!

We have some exciting news to share with you regarding the development of our game. We are thrilled to announce that we have made the decision to transition Winter Survival from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5!

The move to UE5 allows us to take advantage of some fantastic new features that are not available in UE4, such as Lumen. Lumen is a revolutionary global illumination solution that allows for real-time lighting and shadowing, as well as accurate reflections and refractions. This means that our game's environments will look even more stunning and immersive than ever before.

To showcase the power of Lumen, we have prepared some new screenshots that demonstrate the incredible lighting and shadows that you can expect to see in Winter Survival. Check them out below!


But that's not all. We also want to give you a sneak peek at what you can expect when Winter Survival releases in October in Early Access. In the game, you'll play as Danny – a normal guy who is stranded in a harsh, snowy wilderness. You'll need to gather resources, manage your hunger, thirst, and warmth levels, and be careful not to overexert yourself or take unnecessary risks. But you won't be alone - there are plenty of dangers lurking in the wilderness, including hostile wildlife. Check the graphic below for more details.

We owe you a release date for when Winter Survival goes into Early Access. We have finally decided that it will happen this October.

We have not nailed down the exact day simply because we are still coordinating some things related to the release with Valve. That however is a purely technical and marketing related exercise. From a development point of view, we are dead set and will be good to go on any date during October :-)

Expect us to announce the release day within the next weeks.
