No, that line of thinking doesn't really make sense to me. By that logic people are also "forced" to be born in the first place. There's definitely an important distinction to be made between something that's forced on you by nature, like Olivia's paralysis, and whats forced on you by your fellow man, like if the woodsman cuts off your arm, or by your own decision, like Levi's addiction. Also I'm not sure if it matters but there might be a difference in "trans" there, as your example might be transsexual but not transgender? IDK how that part works exactly.

Thats the point, Your sisters entire point is that people cant be forced to be trans and have to choose it, Which isn't how everything works there are trans people from birth and then there are some that always feel different mentally so represent the opposite gender to try and give an understanding to their feelings. Transsexual and Transgender are the same thing in the scientific community theres pretty much no difference. If you were born a man and body switched to a female like marina youd have the brain(thinking) of a guy but body of a woman which is Transgender.

I was under the impression her mother used a sylvian ritual to change her gender, It makes more sense that way as anyone could find out and just throw Marina into the Dark Priest Training. Though it is a video game so you have to take everything at face value, Any theory you have on how things work the community will eat you alive and Miro wont go into detail on anything. We know her Father knows the truth so theres too many plot holes as to why Marina wasnt found out or forced into Dark Priest training
