Audio file “23 - Chant.flac” in the Rise of the Triad Soundtracl (DLC) is corrupted
Hello,

Audio file “23 - Chant.flac” in the Rise of the Triad Soundtracl (DLC) is corrupted.
Here are the errors found using the file integrity check in foobar2000 music player (https://www.foobar2000.org/):
Error: Corrupted FLAC stream
Error: MD5 mismatch

Audio (FLAC stream) MD5 specified in file: BCAC903543036BBD3C59200192661AEC
Audio (FLAC stream) MD5 computed (result): 64F3318976E98A02A7C2BC401C87579A
Audio (FLAC stream) CRC32 computed (result): C2471407
This file can't be reencoded/fixed due to the corrupted FLAC stream.

I've already tried to download this file again and again several times (using Steam), the result is always the same. Steam built-in integrity validator doesn't found any issue, meaning that the original file in the DLC was corrupted (its content, thus the audio stream checksum inside the file) before generating the final file checksums used to check files integrities in Steam.

Steam support is not able to reproduce this issue.
Can you check your file version? Maybe the DLC content has changed in the past.

Thank you

MD5 of my file itself is also 88cb24fc3e584b3fc77ef322fd104c15.
I was not talking about the file MD5, but its audio stream MD5 inside the file :-)
Even if this file can be played without 'visible' issues, its audio stream is corrupted

Playing the file doesn't show this issue. You should run the integrity checker in foobar: right-click on tracks > Utilities > Verify integrity ;-)

Maybe you own an old version of foobar.
Foobar includes this component natively for a few years :-)

You are right. I check installing foobar on another computer. Now, a clean install of foobar doesn't include this component (it was the case few years ago). However, I always keep foobar and its components up to date.
I also tried CUE Tools which also says exactly the same thing as foobar: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Rise of the Triad\Soundtrack\FLAC\Rise Of The Triad 2013 Soundtrack\23 - Chant.flac: frame crc mismatch.
When I purchase digital music, I always check integrities (MD5/CRC…) :-)
