One problem that many GOG users have is the lack of steam workshop support for ROTT.
While steam players can enjoy maps from the SNR, JEFE, Tempus, Vadam, etc collection. The GOG users are bored with vanilla maps.

Technically it's possible for GOG users to use Workshop maps if they can get their hands on it. This would require a steam account with ROTT2013 (duhh) or a friend that can provide these files.

Here's my solution:
I synced my steam workshop ROTT folder with google drive straight from my ROTT server. The location of these files are located in:

"/my documents/my games/Rise of the Triad/ROTTgame"

"/my documents/my games/Rise of the Triad/ROTTgame/Config"
Here are all the workshop map config files stored. These files link to the actual ROTT map files that are stored on the location below.

"/my documents/my games/Rise of the Triad/ROTTgame/Published/CookedPC/"
Here are all the workshop map files (.rott and .ftc) stored.
If you have these map files but not the corresponding config files, the maps won't be seen by the ROTT game.

You see the exact same file structure as your rottgame folder. You can individually download the files you need by rightclicking the folder/file and choose download.

But it would be much easier to download everything at once:
Click on " Download everything" in the top right corner. Google will be preparing a .ZIP file with all the files which you can download and extract to your "/my documents/my games/Rise of the Triad/ROTTgame" folder.
