MIT Exhibition--Small Game Update--Crush House

Escape from Lavender Island was released a year ago! Thanks so much to everyone who downloaded, streamed, talked about etc. I appreciate it so so much. The game and soundtrack will be 20% off from Sept 9 till the 23rd.

A few updates!
1) The MIT show still is open until October 6th! If you're in the Boston area go check it out. Also I'll be giving a talk[listart.mit.edu] on September 26th with Mikael Jakobsson[www.mjson.net] from the MIT Game Lab.

2) If you can't make it to the show, here is an amazing catalog by Zach Ngin[listart.mit.edu] and also below is an interview I did in the space.

3) While installing the show at MIT I found a few bugs :/ and have fixed them in this latest update.
-The NPCs were double spawning when returning to different neighborhoods
-The NPCs in the 5th level weren't going away ever
-The camera didn't adjust to other aspect ratios in the simulation.

All that has been fixed now (hopefully).

4) Also! Escape from Lavender Island has a little shout out in the game Crush House

Escape from Lavender Island at the MIT List Center Jul 18-Oct 6

An installation version of Escape from Lavender Island will be on display at the List Center at MIT. In the installation the simulation component of the game (Zede's Dream) will be on loop as well as a playable version of the game. There will also be a lot of ephemera from the game such as a giant version of the robot sweater that says Depression as well as some paintings of some of the buildings and 3d painted flowers from around the island.

The game will also be on sale during the first week of the exhibition!

Small fixes 92323

A few things requested by speed runners and a few other very small corrections:

-Added version number in main menu. This one is 92323.
-(Hopefully) fixed a bug where particles were spawning during every smoking animation loop.
-Visiting level achievements were triggering during simulation
-Ship02 UI wasn't going away sometimes
-Added a boolean for loading screen up time.
-Fixed a few typos

Small fixes for 9/13/23

-Beanstalk now only activates once you finish the game

-Water was being given again once finishing that challenge in 2nd level

-Game was saving past Warden's Office in 4th level. Now if you quit in the office, the save will be back in the underground area.

-Clipping through landscape issue in 2nd level

-Typo on agressive, changed to aggressive

Update notes for 9/5/23

-Fixed the save not working in vape store if you weren't wearing the right mask. It should save no matter what now. Also if it didn't save for you before, you should be able to go back inside.

-Fixed the jumping on statues challenge not replenishing the ship power after jump

-Fixed archeologist achievement (hopefully)

-Fixed issue where people were getting spawned back into the ball game right after finishing it.

-Added random hints etc around town in places where people were getting stuck

Small Fix for Achievements

This quick patch will hopefully fix the achievements that weren't working.

IF you already went through the game and some of your achievements weren't working, you can hit the z key 5 times in the main menu screen and that will hopefully check what you have and give you the steam achievement for it.

Let me know in the discussions section or on twitter if there are still things not working.

-Updated all the sounds and music
-Menu tweaks
-Fixed a bunch of bugs

-Added oil spills around the island, a crashed drone, a beached whale, more ducks
