Report a translation problem
We should have made a launch trailer for this, but we are also doing the video for our new game, so we've had soooo little time. :S
Just to be more precise: We had the texts translated to Hungarian thanks to Robert Szogyenyi, however since the fonts supported by the game didn't handle many Hungarian characters well we were getting crashes and given the fact that we are working full steam on our new project we simply didn't have the time or the people available to make it work. -- Once again, if we do manage to correct this in the future, we will... but for now you'll have to enjoy the game in English :)
Thanks, anyway! :) And the system requirements will be more "friendlier"... soon? I'm not happy to have to say this, but this game is running worse than others Unrel Engine 3 game in my PC.
My PC:
Intel Core I3 550 (2 Core) 3.20 GHz
4 GB DRR 3 RAM
VideoCard: SAPPHIRE HD 5550 512MB GDDR5 HD MI
When I say that I mean about any other titles using the 'dominant directional light moveable' object to create a fully dynamic day/night cycle. Games such as Borderlands 2 have a day / night cycle, but not with dynamic projected shadows (shadows are static).
If you disable the dynamic lighting the game will run much faster, since this is one of the most taxing elements of the game.
Thank you for the help! :) Where do I turn off dynamic lighting? I can Disable the dynamic lighting in Game Options Menu or game files? And Really? The other Unreal Engine 3 games do not take advantage of the dynamic lighting effects? for example: (Not all example FPS, but Popular UE3 Games) Batman Arkham Asylum-City, Mass Effect 1-3, Bioshock 1-2 and Infinite, Game of Thrones, (Sorry i never play Borderlands series) this games running better than Zeno Clash II, but yeah, this games does not contain day/night cycle. If I disable these the game will be much uglier (or not?) on the other hand better runs with a lot?
About those other games:
Batman Arkham Asylum/City -> No
Mass Effect -> Don't know, but I don't think so.
Bioshocks -> No
Game of Thrones -> If it is on consoles, I doubt.
Borderlands -> No
The full dynamic lighting is too much for the XBox 360 and PS3. We actually had to make two versions of Zeno Clash 2 (one with static lighting for the consoles and the full dynamic lighting for PC). This was a nightmare for us, but it surprises me that the bigger companies wouldn't be willing to get better dynamic lighting and go through this pain for a better PC version. Take a look at any of those games... can you see the shadows moving when the sun is moving? The answer is no. (So I'm proud we beat those bigger titles in one technical aspect).
I still challenge anyone to find an Unreal Engine 3 title that has a better day/night cycle than ZC2. :)
The "cast shadows" is on Low in my Options, this not enough. :'( I will try disable them in a .cfg file... soon. I hope it will work.
I would like to congratulate for you and Full ACE Team to Dynamic light systems, this a great honor for the PC Gamers, not dominte the Console versions, great! :) And right, all other Unreal Engine 3 games shadow System isn't respond to the changing light conditions, and (after this) it's a shame the big game publishers. (EA, Activision, Ubisoft and all Console centered game publisher.)
