Bugs/Issues/Suggestions Thread
Post your issues/bugs here so we can keep it compiled and neat. I'm aware the game is fresh and unfinished, but I'm still gonna throw out my thoughts and treat it as an alpha/beta. Help the devs figure out some stuff. I'm also speaking purely from Solo atm. If I can get friends to test it out I'll edit this comment or reply to the thread with what I find.

I just hopped on and played for a bit and right off the bat solo is rough. I got the point where I died instantly to about 30-50 zombies chasing me, then they just threw brains at me and I went from 100-0 before I could even react.

It also takes about 4-6 swings to drop them, adults hit too hard to even attempt to kill them not to mention with the literal school full of zombies behind me I can't play. The game is just insanely hard.

The arrow doesn't really direct well. After getting to the lab filled with mushrooms I'm told to go to the computer lab. The area brings me to a closed off bathroom with no way out, and that's the brightest green I've gotten it so I'm lost there.

The auto-aim/lock system really makes hack-and-slash hard to do funny enough. It'd be so much easier to be able to control where I was going instead of just mashing the button and watching my character leap around doing all the work/dying to mobs upon mobs of zombies.

The damage feels pitiful. I can swing through a few zombies and they'll knock my health down, even as a Bully before I can really tear down their numbers. 5-6 swings w/ their insanely fast spawn rate really puts a damper on the exploration mission. I cannot find the lab, nor can I fight my way to it. Especially after 2-3 adults joined the fray. The explosive charged pistol shot does ok damage, but the singular shots are too weak to be considered remotely effective. Hopefully level increases/new weapons and what not will make this better in the future?

Missions don't show completion/have no real reason to complete them. I'm aware it's unfinished just saying a checkmark or new weapon/armor would be nice.

Something to explain power-ups/abilities would be nice. I figured out that the Mayhem bar lets you use ability 1 or 2, but even then I was under the impression that you'd have just set abilities to use not build-ups. Would help to have an explanation seeing as I don't know which does which until I use them.

Are there combos? I've done the jump and slam, and the streak, but I for the life of me have no clue how. I know you can charge, but that's just risky and usually ends up with me taking way more damage than I even do to them.

Spawn rate is insanely fast. There is just no way to go to other areas without getting completley swarmed. I start off and already there's 20-30 zombies swarming me. The early pack I can usually handle, but after that I find myself running/jumping over them hoping to just clear the next objective before I get caught and die. There is too many, with too much health, and too fast of a spawn.

Something to indicate a shortcut would be helpful. I found a hole in one of the classrooms and in a panic I swung at it and it broke which was cool, but it really wasn't clear what I could and couldn't break or fit through.

Edit: Constant crashing when loading in a mission. It's about a 50/50 that I get to play.

All I can think of right now, I stayed up just waiting for this to go on sale, been waiting for years and I'm happy to finally get to play since I missed out on the Kickstarter. The customization is pretty cool I like my character. The weapons look nice, feel good, and the music is phenomenal. Actually bought the soundtrack awhile back. Add anything you'd like to the thread, and even positive ones as well.

Well, I'm getting constant massive fps drops when I exit the chemical lab, and makes the game compeltly unplayable.

Also the game has rendering problems or anything? Because I get random lag for no reason, maybe is the game trying to render world that the player cant see?

Glad you're open to comments like these. Nice to see y'all back. I was watching the Kickstarter for years during the swap, and I can't describe how happy I was to see y'all back.

I'd like to report one more thing with the auto-aim that causes a LOT of issues. If it locks onto a zombie when swarmed and near a doorway sometimes it'll just lock you into the wall or on the frame of the door and you can't hit anything. It's not a lock though, you can still get away but anytime I was near a door it would swing towards that little corner and I couldn't fight.

Also my mouse cursor goes from not being seen/crosshair to just my mouse cursor and I lose some hud.

im wondering what version of unity is this running? usually unity 5.0 or higher runs better for me personally.

I get some major fps issues (always do with unity games)

nvidia titan
i7 3770
16 gb ram
windows 10 64 bit (also tried compatability mode)

I think that's an effect of the soft targeting, so we'll take out soft targeting and see if that helps. There are some mouse cursor wonkiness we've noticed too when alt-tabbing or using windowed mode. We're looking into it.

hmmm interesting. okay I get 60 - min 58 outside its just once inside (especially that room where everthing glows it plummets to 30) still fun as hell but yeah :P

Can you tell me exactly where? Maybe post a screenshot or something. The more info the better. I think I noticed that too in the classroom across from the beanstalk (when looking toward the beanstalk). Thanks so much!

Awesome. Glad to hear it. I saw the zombies got took out of the exploration mission. It's working really well letting me test out and learn the combos/layout. Thanks guys. Quick question, how do I find my way to the computer lab or is it not implemented yet?

And yes, sometimes you'll load up a mission and there will be no zombies (usually networked). This is a known bug and requires a quitting the game completely and restarting. We're on it.

I literally just found it haha. I can't believe I didn't think to use that one section in the courtyard, to avoid spoilers. ;P Even figured out the combo system. Thanks guys.

THE ARROW WAS RIGHT! I wasn't even sure you could get into that spot! That is so sneaky! Would it be alright to record a video showing off how the combo system works and the abilities?
