I played this game with every difficultie and i think its too easy, late game is boring ai isnt challenging enough and other things like building stuff isnt enough complicated. I havent tried attila and ive heard that bot is way harder than in rome 2, Rome 2 in overall is too simple and easy to play through and has many flaws in it. What do you think of rome 2 ? Hoplites on Legendary are so powerful. With their high armor, arrows will run out before they can take them down. Their melee stats are boosted on Legendary so they'll slaughter your own melee line until late game when fully upgraded. In the meantime, how do you defeat a large block of hoplites? I've played so many campaigns across so many Total War games and it's only this one where the AI will just skip past all your armies and fortifications to attack your undefended cities. Playing on hard btw, is this just the CPU decision making? All it does is make campaigns annoying matters of hunting down the 10 ship fleets or the 7 unit armies that just run around.
