Hmm, doesn't do it for me, though maybe I did something about it a long time ago? See if there's an Install folder or something that can be renamed in the game's main folder?

yeah, there's an installscript.vdf. I tried removing it and recreates it when launching the game.

I opened it in a text editor and don't see anything that can be removed.

I did find, however, that if I launch the .exe directly, it doesn't give me the "you need to launch this from steam" message. So I guess this isn't DRM protected? Not good imo D:

I know this is an old topic but I'll leave a solution for anyone with the same problem.

In the game main folder there should be a file named "installscript.vdf":

1. Right-click it and select Properties
2. Click Security tab
3. Click Edit... button to change permissions
4. Mark the "Read & execute" checkbox under "Deny"
5. Apply changes

That should fix it.
