Cutscenes not playing

After buying the game, I moved it outside of the Steam folder, since I understood the game to be DRM-free and that's what I prefer. Game runs (mostly) fine, but the cutscenes don't play. Not sure if that's an issue with the game or the fact that its not connected to Steam.

Are you playing on Original mode or Remaster? Remaster mode omits cutscenes.

Wait, seriously? I figured it was a choice between remastered or original cutscenes, not a choice of having them or not.

Anyway, thanks for clearing that up.

ETHER VAPOR was originally released back in 2007 during Summer Comiket 73. The Remaster version was released during Comiket 80 in 2011 and Nyu Media later acquired the rights to publish and localize the Remaster version through digital distribution platforms in 2012. The original version of ETHER VAPOR was never officially released overseas, though there was a short-lived fan-translation patch for it back then before it was licensed by Nyu Media.
