Actually, you DO get more shields and continues, every time you game over. (Up to a limit, for shields.)

Then you can adjust the number of shields you start with, if I recall correctly.

I just exited the game a short while and the shield and credit did increase by one each. Now I got 3 continues and 3 shields. Well, I gameovered about three times, then I got a message of an increase.

Pretty sure this person is a troll, but just in case it's genuine question

That's why I said it's a troll. If you check Steam discussion for Astrebreed (which is another game by Edelweiss), he made a thread about how it's Impossible to finish the game in Hard mode, and nobody can unlock the achievement for that. When someone mention people can do that and the global achievement rate to finish the game in Hard mode isn't 0% (which you can easily check), this person accuses them to be lying.

Before this takes a deep dive into just focusing on the user rather then the question at hand, I want to thank those who took the time to give information on the subject. Whether or not its trolling is relevant, you all have provided helpful feedback that could genuinely be a question for a future user, thank you!

Not a hard game at all after you explode and retry for multiple times,it gives you both credits and extra shields every time you progress further. Like me,for example,spent over 55 hours on this game and listed on the 53rd of the global ranking (but seems the ranking server wasn't avaliable last year, SAD) now have 99 credits max and 9 shields max avaliable on beginning. Although you can turn the shield amount and the score of each shield bonus, it does gets bit too easy after you've run through it several times. Peace

Everyone, I like to confirm that you cannot complete this game at all. Scene 5 cannot be completed and furthermore, nobody can complete this game without continues. Edelweiss confirmed it. I never lie.

why give a ♥♥♥♥?? about an achievement?? are you having fun with the game? the achievement literally does not matter
