If you are on windows 11 or are otherwise having issues starting the game, try this!

browse the local files

open config.cfg in notepad

change width and height to something that would work for you, like 1440 for width and 900 for height

change fullscreen to 0

then run the game normally.

it seems that no matter what resolution i put it at, the game will refuse to display properly or will crash if put to fullscreen mode. do NOT try to change into fullscreen in game or from the cfg. fullscreen will NOT work on windows 11 best as i have tested.

Hey djaxis! Do you have any other modifications that you are doing when trying to run the game? I have modified the resolution to numerous options, changed fullscreen to 0, tried compatibility mode for XP, Vista, and 7 and tried running as admin. Even tried using legacy display ICC color management. I just don't know what else I can do. No matter what I do, when I start the game, I get a pop-up that says "CRASH!" for the title and says it "Successfully created minidump". Then I get the splash screen with the red caster and the circle just keeps spinning and will never load.
