First time playing Thief Gold and having a blast so far. Fantastic levels. Then I get hit with the Thieves Guild. I had no problem navigating or figuring out where I needed to go but talk about a pace killer. Running constantly back and forth made me feel like it was never gonna end. Got so bored with the running around I just killed everyone instead of sneaking just to get it over with quicker. Is this the worst Thief Level or does the quality drop massively from here?...

Nightdive or Aspyr (Embracer Group) should remaster the Thief trilogy.

Title. I know, I hear that the Thief Series may have started the whole Immersive Sim deal, but I'm yet to actually play any. Played all the Deus Ex games (even Invisible War, it's not bad!), the Dishonored-s, Prey, etc. Would like to know how thief stacks up. Too much unnecessary worldbuilding and way too many enemies, still at the first level tho, but from all the praise this fan expansion is getting i was expecting much more. Also there was an entire mansion that had no loot whatsoever.

Traditional stealth games with a high budget are kinda dead at this point. sure we have hitman, but that has always stuck out in my mind as more a a puzzle game and the stealth is very bare bones. sure we have dishonored, but that game is chock full of ease of access powers to reduce the "burden of stealth"; most of the abilities being combat oriented. metal gear is both finished as a franchise and also not dedicated purely to stealth.
